This newly laid English hedgerow is an example of revitalizing a living green barrier using a traditional rural craft. For centuries hedgerows have defined agricultural fields and property lines across the countryside. A complex matrix evolves offering habitat for flora and fauna alike, with food, cover, as well as serving as green ways. Although hedge laying is a disappearing art, it creates the essential feature in the English landscape.
